About & Qualifications
A practice built on scientific rigor, clinical collaboration, and a genuine commitment to occupant health.
Bridging Building Science and Environmental Medicine.
My Home My Health is a specialized indoor environmental consulting practice dedicated to investigating building conditions that may affect the health and well-being of occupants.
Our practice was founded to address a critical gap frequently encountered by homeowners, medically sensitive individuals, and their healthcare providers: the need for comprehensive, scientifically grounded environmental investigations that extend well beyond conventional mold testing.
We recognize that understanding an indoor environment requires more than collecting samples and interpreting laboratory results. It requires a thorough evaluation of the building as a system, including its history, construction, moisture dynamics, ventilation, potential contamination sources, and the pathways through which contaminants may affect occupied spaces. Our approach combines principles of building science, specialized training in indoor environmental assessment, and an understanding of the environmental concerns associated with Environmentally Acquired Illness (EAI), including Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS). We collaborate with physicians who specialize in environmentally related illness, including practitioners familiar with the approaches developed by Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker, Dr. Dale Bredesen, Dr. Neil Nathan, and others. Our role is to provide independent, objective environmental findings that complement the physician's clinical evaluation and help inform decisions regarding the patient's living environment. We serve homeowners seeking to better understand their indoor environment, medically sensitive individuals requiring more comprehensive investigations, healthcare providers seeking reliable environmental information, and remediation professionals who need qualified Independent Environmental Professional (IEP) guidance during investigation, remediation, and verification. Our objective is not simply to identify contamination, but to understand its potential sources, evaluate the extent of affected areas, and provide a clear, evidence-based path toward improving the indoor environment.

Why this practice exists.
A meaningful indoor environmental assessment goes far beyond identifying visible mold or collecting samples. Many of the most significant environmental concerns originate from concealed conditions—within wall cavities, beneath flooring, inside HVAC systems, in attics and crawlspaces, or in other areas that may not be readily accessible. Identifying and understanding these conditions requires a comprehensive investigative approach grounded in building science, environmental assessment methodologies, and an understanding of the unique concerns of medically sensitive individuals. My Home My Health was established to bridge the gap between conventional mold inspections and the more comprehensive environmental investigations often needed to understand complex building-related concerns. Our commitment extends beyond the initial inspection. We are here to guide our clients through the entire process—from the initial investigation and identification of potential contamination sources to the development of remediation protocols, coordination with qualified professionals, post-remediation verification, and follow-up environmental assessments when appropriate. We recognize that environmental investigations are rarely linear. New findings may emerge as building materials are opened, concealed conditions become accessible, or remediation progresses. Our role is to provide continuity, objective guidance, and informed oversight as the project evolves. Our goal is not simply to identify a problem, but to help our clients understand it, address its underlying causes, and make informed decisions throughout the process of restoring a healthier indoor environment.
